NY Studio Gallery began in Chelsea, NYC in 2006 as the brainchild of Kristen Mae Copham. Originally a studio space, the artist opened her doors to the public and fellow artists. The gallery moved to the Lower East Side in 2008 and opened an annex gallery called LZ Project Space in 2010. The gallery hosted its final exhibit in 2014. The work of K. M. Copham and various artists affiliated with NYSG can be found online as well as in Copham's collection in her upstate studio, located in a renovated barn in New Paltz, NY.
NYSG focuses on visual art with a particular focus on painting, the figure, and color.
K. M. Copham is known for illustrations, murals and portraits worldwide.
