Andrew MacDonald
"I produce knitted textiles serving as skins for my sculptures on a low-tech knitting machine. These knitted skins reflect a haptic bodily association, warmth and comfort, as they are reminiscent of clothing, specifically ‘kitsch’ sweaters. Household plastic objects, storage containers and other plastic products, along with pillow stuffing, are used as the understructure or skeleton of my sculpture."
